Scope of Work
Services included in this quote are listed above. Any additional work or changes may incur extra charges and will require written approval either by text or email.
Payment Terms,
A deposit of 40% is required to confirm and schedule work. The remaining balance is due upon 70%, 100% of the project, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Access to Site
The client agrees to provide access to the property during working hours and ensure that the site is free of pets, obstacles, and other hazards.
Weather Delays
Scheduling may be affected by weather conditions. We will notify you of any delays and reschedule accordingly.
Warranties
We guarantee our structural workmanship for 7 years non-structural 5 years and flora 12 months. Damage caused by lack of maintenance e.g watering, build up of weeds, debris, incorrect usage of herbicide, pesticides or fertilises, pests and diseases, natural disasters or extreme weather events or third parties is not covered.
All paving/steppers will be laid on a properly prepared base. Slight variation in colour, tone, or surface texture is normal for natural and manufactured pavers and is not considered a defect.
Excavation – Contingency Plan
While we aim to assess all visible site conditions prior to starting excavation, unforeseen issues may arise once groundworks commence. The following outlines our contingency plan;
Unexpected Ground Conditions
If excavation reveals rock, hard fill, contaminated soil, or unstable ground, this will be treated as a variation to the original quote. We will notify the client and provide a revised cost and time estimate before continuing.
Underground Services
It is the client’s responsibility to clearly mark or provide accurate information about underground utilities, including water, gas, electrical, irrigation, and drainage.
If unidentified services are discovered, work will stop immediately and the client will be notified. Any additional costs related to locating, protecting, or rerouting services will be added to the final invoice.
Remedial and Structural building works (e.g deck repair)
Where repair, remediation, or replacement works are being carried out to existing decks, retaining walls, fencing, paving, or other structures, the quotation is based on visible and reasonably accessible site conditions at the time of inspection.
The Contractor shall not be responsible for hidden, concealed, or latent defects that are not reasonably identifiable prior to commencement of works, including but not limited to:
If any unforeseen conditions or defects are discovered during the course of works, the Contractor will notify the Client as soon as practicable and provide recommendations along with any additional costs required to safely complete the project.
Any remediation, replacement, structural rectification, or additional labour and materials required due to previously undisclosed or non-visible conditions shall be treated as a variation to the original quotation and charged accordingly.
Where possible, visible signs of deterioration or damage identified during the initial inspection, including rotted timber or structural concerns, will be communicated to the Client prior to commencement of works.
Access Limitations
If excavation equipment cannot access the site as originally planned due to site changes or obstructions or slope or traction, the client will be informed and alternative solutions (e.g., smaller equipment, manual excavation) may incur additional charges.
Water or Drainage Issues
If groundwater or poor drainage conditions are discovered during excavation, we may recommend additional work such as subsoil drainage, gravel backfill, or retaining structures. These will be quoted separately.
We will always consult the client before proceeding with any variations and provide written approval forms for any additional work outside the scope of the original quote.
Structural building works
In the absence of specific engineering plans or specifications provided by the Client prior to the commencement of work, the Contractor will proceed with the construction of the driveway in accordance with the relevant and current Industry Code of Practice and applicable local standards.
The Client acknowledges and agrees that:
It is their responsibility to provide any site-specific engineering documentation or designs prior to work starting.
If no such documentation is received, the Contractor will construct using standard industry practices that are deemed suitable for typical site conditions.
The Contractor shall not be held liable for any issues arising due to unforeseen site-specific conditions or requirements that would otherwise have been addressed in a provided engineering plan.
Any additional work required due to site-specific issues not disclosed or apparent at the time of quoting may be subject to additional charges.
By engaging our services, the Client confirms their acceptance of these terms and authorizes the Contractor to proceed accordingly.
